I use it from about two weeks from last calibration and it is still quite precise about 1-2mm difference between the real cut and what I see in Lightburn. If I would use very different material thickness and the distance from the surface of the material and the camera would be very different it might would be a problem but I only cut from 3-6mm and it does seems to be OK over time. It does not seems to move calibration points at all. Yes the camera refocuses I see it every time but since it refocuses on the same plate, same distance, it does not messes up at all. Probably you are right and a fixed version would be better. I did not found a fixed focus modul on E-Bay with a good price. I still have no idea what the issue was.Yes I know. I shouldn't say that because you know what's going to happen next. Still got a live view but overlay won't work.Įdit: Well after fighting with this ALL DAY including restoring a disk image for my C: drive and 6 attempts at Camera Lens Correction wizard followed by Camera Alignment wiard it seems to be working now. I've posted a bug report on the Lightburn support forum so I have to wait and see.

As I said, the camera is working fine and produces an image so I have to point the finger at Lightburn being at fault. I've been troubleshooting this issue for an hour or two, rebooting PC and Lightburn, going through the whole process of installing the camera again (lens correction and alignment wizards) only to get exactly the same result.

The live view in the camera control window still works OK - just no overlay. After running the camera alignment wizard and making a small correction to the position (Y-shift=0.4) then saving those settings Lightburn will no longer update the overlay. I have run into a problem with this 8MP camera, and it looks like an issue with Lightburn because the camera itself is working fine.
